Mountaintown Creek is located just west of Ellijay, Georgia where it starts high in the Cohutta Wilderness Area and flows into the Coosawattee River.
Along this path it flows through a private section that has been trophy managed for the last 7 years. Mountaintown Creek is a creek in name only it is as big and wide as many rivers. Mountaintown Creek provides a great opportunity for fly fishing with plenty of room for casting and good trout holding water.
